--t's this thing, anyway? [There's a soaking wet kid dripping onto the screen, when it turns on.] Some sort of magical object? Haha, that'd be pretty interesting. [He wipes it off with a wet sleeve, making the screen...wetter. A laugh.] Guess I should figure out where I am first, anyway.

[And with that, he pockets the communicator; viewers may hear him saying "Hey. Hey, excuse me," to random strangers, as he didn't bother to turn the thing off.]

[[Feel free to be the random strangers! He's bothering people around the fountain area.]]

Wow, really? That sounds pretty simple, when you put it that way. So it really is like a horse with wheels!

[He'd guessed it could move just from its name, but the confirmation is interesting.]

So Fenrir's its name, is it?

Yeah. People who spend a lot of time on them usually name their bikes.

I see, I see! Maybe I could try getting a bike of my own someday. Though they don't sell them anywhere I've been before, so I suppose I'd get some weird looks if I brought one home with me, haha.

[Oh, great. He's taking off his goggles, and if you look close you might notice his eyes glow faintly.]

This is the City. Far as I can tell, there's no way out. You and me and most of the other people around here were brought here from somewhere else. Different worlds. My planet's called Gaia.

[He might take notice of those eyes, but let's concentrate on more important things, shall we?]

So you're from another world entirely? That's amazing! The City's kind of a boring name for a place though, don't you think? I like Gaia though! I'm from Earth, myself.

Earth, huh? You'll have a lot of company, then.

Are there a lot of people from Earth around here?

Most of the ones I've met.

That's a pretty big coincidence! There must be people from Gaia around here too somewhere, considering the size of this city.

Haven't found any so far, but I've only been here a couple of days. [His tone says he's been trying.]

Well, I'll keep my eye out too. If there's two of us looking, and if they're looking too, it'll be easier to find them. [He sounds strangely confident for a boy who's never seen a Gaian before today.]

[There's a hint of surprise on his face, but he's brushing it off a second later. Shouldn't surprise him so much for strangers to be helpful.]

Sounds good. If you find any, tell them Cloud's looking for them. [He figures that as good an introduction as any.]

Cloud, huh? I'll make sure to tell them that. [He says it as if he's already met them.]

--Oh yeah, and my name's Elmer. Nice working with you!

[He smiles, putting his goggles back on.] You too.

If you need someplace to stay, the tall buildings around this place are apartments.

...Woah, you mean people live in those things? [There's a definite note of curiosity as he glances up at the buildings.]

You're gonna have to hold down a job to make rent, but it'll be a roof over your head at least.
